Punxsutawney Area Community Foundation: SPLASH Fund

The Punxsutawney Community Pool, formal known as the George C. Brown Community Pool, has been in operation since 1929.  For the past 24 years the operation of the pool have been supported by an informal group of volunteers known as SPLASH (Save Punxsy’s Local Area Swimming Hole).  However, the Pool is technically owned by the Borough of Punxsutawney.

The pool is an invaluable community health, education, and recreation resource, and many children and adults have been able to learn a basic lifesaving skill at the Pool, swimming!  Pool operations are financed by year-round SPASH fundraising and limited Borough support.  Please help us keep the Punxsutawney Community Pool open through your generous community donations.
